Happy Monday

Hey there lovelies! It's been a while.

As most of you know we added a new mini human to our lives eight weeks ago today. Let's just say we have had our hands full. :) Learning to fit everything in once you have two little ones is hard. You should see me try to get out the door with them both by myself ... it's rough! For the last eight weeks I have been enjoying my two crazies and trying to get enough sleep to function.

Here are a few photos of what we've been up to on our time off. Be sure to start checking in daily for fun posts. xo, Britt

Apple Picking 🍏

I had already decided before Sophie was born that we would still be doing all of the fun fall activities we wanted. No matter how tired I was or difficult it would be as new parents of two mini humans. I didn't want Noah to miss out.

So we braved the u-pick apple orchard with the help of my parents and siblings. We went to the Cider Mill Family Orchard in Kansas City, KS. We walked all through the orchard collecting various kinds of apples and then Skylar and I braved the long line so I could get donuts (totally worth it!)

We had a blast! And contrary to all of Noah's serious photos I think he did too!

Here are some of my favorites from the day!

After the long day we were all exhausted! But we had so much fun, we are definitely going back next year. xo, Britt

DIY Face Wipes

Our mom recently tried some homemade make up remover wipes she found online. They are awesome! And we thought they needed to be shared with all of you. So here's how she made them and what she had to say:

"I had seen several pins on Pinterest for making DIY makeup  remover pads.  I have really been trying to make my own,  chemical free, products lately.  I found the recipe I wanted to use here .  You need a Mason Jar or other round container, round cotton pads, 1 ½ cups of water, 2 tbsp tear free baby shampoo, ¼ tsp baby oil and although it wasn’t in this recipe, I added several drops of essential oil.  You can add whatever kind is your favorite.  I had read on another website that you should use distilled water to make the wipes last longer.  Not sure if that’s true, but I had distilled water so I used it.  I mixed all the ingredients together and then poured some of the water mixture in the Mason Jar.  Just add a little at a time and then add 10 or so cotton rounds to soak up the water.  Just go back and forth until all the water is absorbed in the Mason Jar.  I printed off a round label and attached it to the jar lid.  I tied a piece of string around it to add a little something.  I really like it and it feels good to be using something without chemicals that can be made for a fraction of the cost of the store bought kind."  -Robin

We have been using them the last several months and love them. They get off all your make-up and leave your face feeling fresh. Try them for yourself, we know you'll love them! xoxo, Britt + Sky
