Emoji Party

Today Brooklynn turns 16! So we celebrated her birthday this weekend with a fun Emoji party! We thought we'd share with you some of our fun, adorable decorations.

We made this awesome balloons with just a printable Brittnee made and tape!

And of course we had to have cupcakes.

I drew, cut out, and attached these emojis to sticks to make these props. They were a lot of fun! Brooklynn got to use them the night before at her sleep over with her friends and when we had her family party.

And Britt cut out these letters for an easy, but adorable back drop!

Happy Birthday Britt!

Brittnee is spending her birthday in the hospital with her new love! In celebration of her day I'm just sharing a few pictures and a small "shout out" to my big sister.

I just wanna thank this crazy lady for always be there for me. She is a great sister, amazing friend, and awesome mom.

Noah and Sophie are lucky to have her as their mom. And I'm lucky to have her as my second mom. :)

We've had good times and bad times and everything in between, but I always know that no matter what I do or say or try, she will always back me up 100% with no judgement.

She is one of the strongest people I know mentally and physically (seriously tho she has weird hulk strength).

I can't wait to see what the future has in store for you and your amazing, little family.

Love you so much Britt! Have a wonderful day, old lady. :)

Oh Hey There, Sophie

Well we are officially a family of four. We welcomed little (or not so little rather) Sophie at 7:44am. She weighed in at 9lbs 10oz and 21in long.

Mr. Noah isn't too sure about mommy being hooked up to so many cords or about Sophie in general, but all of it sure tuckered him out.

There will be many more photos to come, but goodnight for now. xo, Britt

Handmade & Vintage Chick Event Recap

On Saturday I attended my first Chick Event at Park Place in Leawood, KS and I LOVED it! The weather was perfect, there were so many awesome booths to look at, and I wanted to buy WAY too much! :) I am love the idea of supporting small and local makers and businesses so this was such a fun event for me.

I thought I would share a few of my favorite shops that I discovered this weekend and what I bought.

1. Glitter + Wit
When I saw this super cute headband crown I could not pass it up! I knew it would be perfect for Sophie. There were so many things that I wish I could have bought this weekend but I will definitely be placing an order for more when they get their online shop up.

2. Be Wild and Free
Her awesome watercolor prints automatically pulled me into her booth! I loved basically everything that she had in there, but I ended up with a cute KC tote and a doxie watercolor print.

3. Wild Juniper
When we got to the event my mom told me I could pick out my birthday present. I couldn't resist choosing one of the long leather tassel necklaces. As soon as I spotted the mustard necklace, I knew it was the one that I wanted.

4. Little Free Spirit
This booth made me want to spend all of my money on accessories for Sophie. I had to settle down and choose wisely. :) I ended up deciding on one of the baby headwraps. And I cannot wait to see it on Sophie!!

There were SO MANY other amazing shops and I wish I could have bought things from all of them, but my husband would probably not have been happy about that. :) I loved the whole experience and all of my purchases and I am already ready for next year! xo, Britt

Big Brother Prep

Though Noah has no idea what's about to happen to him, I've been ttying to get as much time in with his as possible. Even if it's as simple as us hanging out in the dollar section of Target sipping on our icee, I cherish our one-on-one time.

Sotoday I figured I'd just share a few of the photos that I've captured recently of mommy and daddy and Noah :)

Hopefully Noah will soon be ready to fulfill his big brother duties :) But for now we'll just watch some Peppa Pig and relax together. xo, Britt
